SPAY/NEUTER: The ASPCA offers free and low-cost spay/neuter surgery via three fully-equipped mobile veterinary clinics that will travel directly to your neighborhood seven days a week. The program is designed for low-income pet owners who are residents of New York City's five boroughs. Low income pet owners in New York City's five boroughs with proof of public assistance such as Welfare, Medicaid, Medicare, SSI, Disability, Food Stamps, or Public Housing qualify to have their pets spayed/neutered at no cost. Unemployment does not qualify. If you do not have proof of public assistance, a $25 donation per animal is requested. We can serve up to 25 animals per day on a first-come, first-served basis, and you must arrive early to wait in line for intake. We suggest you arrive at the location before 7:00 A.M. We will provide rabies and distemper vaccinations for all cats and dogs coming to the clinic for spay/neuter.

Information and the schedule for the spay/neuter clinics can be found at

The ASPCA has a 24-hour bilingual automated hotline with all the spay/neuter and vaccination information, which is (212)-876-7700 x 4303.
VACCINES: The ASPCA offers canine and feline vaccinations on Saturdays to healthy dogs and cats who are spayed/neutered and who are at least 3 months old. Bring proof that your pet is spayed/neutered and check our vaccine clinic schedule. All animals are seen on a first come first serve basis starting at 10AM. We have the capacity to see up to 50 animals so you do not need to wait early. Simply come at 10AM to wait in line, sign up with the clinic staff and wait until your animal is seen. While you are waiting, please be courteous and considerate of our neighbors and local residents. It takes 15 minutes for each animal to be examined by the veterinarian. Bring all cats in carriers and dogs on leashes. Please bring proof of Medicaid, Medicare, Disability, SSI, Food Stamp enrollment or public housing assistance. Unemployment does not qualify. If your pet needs vaccinations but has not yet been spayed or neutered, you can come to the spay/neuter clinics instead and we can provide you with both services at once.
